FIELD: sterilization and drying. SUBSTANCE: radiator includes heater located in hollow housing. Outer surface of this heater is coated with layer converting thermal energy into infra-red radiator. Inner surface of housing may be provided with second converting layer of the following composition, mass-%: potassium oxides, 0.12 to 0.15; sodium oxides, 0.17 to 0.21; magnesium oxides, 2 to 2.2; silicon oxides, 0.5 to 0.7; ferric oxides, 1.5 to 2.1; nickel oxides, 0.2 to 0.4; filler, remainder. Outer converting layer has the following composition, mass-%: potassium oxides, 0.8 to 1.2; sodium oxides, 0.3 to 0.6; aluminium oxides, 25 to 32.9; silicon oxides, 55.5 to 58.6; ferric oxides, 0.8 to 1.2; nickel oxides, 0.21 to 0.26; filler, remainder. Housing may be made from ceramic material converting thermal energy into infra-red energy at wave length of 2 to 9 mcm and density of radiated flux of 9.2 to 19.6 kW/sq.m.
