FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: laser gyroscope is intended to measure angular velocity and small variations of scan rate. It has two dummy mirrors, output semitranslucent mirror, two reflection diffraction gratings located in vertexes of regular pentagon. Active medium is placed between first dummy mirror and output translucent mirror. Polarization converter is positioned between photoreceiving system and output semitranslucent mirror. First polarizer is situated between first reflection diffraction grating and second dummy mirror. Second polarizer is located between first grating and semitranslucent mirror. Transmission planes of polarizers are reciprocally orthogonal. Two resonance circuits are formed in gyroscope. Two beams polarized orthogonally travel in one direction which ensured narrow synchronization band and leads to enhanced sensitivity. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity of laser gyroscope. 1 dwg
