FIELD: thermal stability testing. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with proposed process surface of tested sample of material is subjected to cyclical thermal action that includes heating of surface and subsequent cooling with simultaneous control of surface of tested sample of material. Thermal stability is evaluated by number of cycles of changes of temperature till cracks will emerge in tested sample with periodic removal of layer of material having thickness corresponding to intensity of wear-out of material in process of usage to provide for technical result lying in increased authenticity of determination of thermal stability of material.
