FIELD: utilization of cellulose industry waste, more particularly bleaching of cellulose. SUBSTANCE: spent cellulose liquors are gasified or completely oxidized when feeding into reactor with 20-70% of stoichiometric amount of oxygen or air at temperature higher than 500 C and pressure higher then atmospheric pressure. Solid phase is removed. Gaseous product which contains hydrogen is cooled, washed and purified by absorption in amine solution at variable pressure, and treated with water. Hydrogen is used for hydrogenation of anthraquinone derivatives to form hydrogen peroxide. Production is energetically advantageous, and not earlier used waste is utilized.
