FIELD: hydraulic engineering technology. SUBSTANCE: this relates to hydromechanization of mining operations and can be used for example in coal industry for cleaning settlers from sludge. Device for taking sludge from settlers has pontoon with cross dredging mechanism, rotatable pivoted joint with plate which carries frame with scoops. Cross dredging mechanism is made in the form of pile-thrust system. This system incorporates displaceable pile which is installed in turnable guiding holder mounted on pontoon. Upper end of displaceable pile by means of sliding hinge is coupled with free end of connecting rod. Opposite end of connecting rod is pivotally joined with pontoon shell and has possibility of rocking in vertical plane by means of power-driven member which is located between connecting rod and pontoon shell. Aforesaid embodiment of device allows for simplification of design of cross dredging mechanism with improving its reliability and process of control and operation. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
