FIELD: construction machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to hydraulic machines of percussive action. Hydraulic hammer has blow energy of up 100 kJ and can be used in mining industry and construction for crushing rock and other rock-like matter. In addition, hydraulic hammer can be used in creation of pile-driving and stamping hammers and also in other branches of national economy. In hydraulic hammer, piston-striker with body creates two chambers: idle stroke chamber which is permanently connected with hydraulic pressure line, and working stroke chamber which is alternately connected by means of control unit either with idle stroke chamber or with hydraulic return line. Design of hydraulic hammer allows during entire working cycle to utilize usefully total amount of hydraulic working fluid delivered from power source. Possibility of installing soft seals in all connections of piston-striker with body excludes outside leakages of working fluid or overflow of fluid between two chambers of hydraulic hammer. Aforesaid characteristics ensure maximal frequency of blows and high efficiency of machine. Hydraulic hammer is simple in design and operation, reliable in work, and easy to manufacture.
