FIELD: cryogenic engineering; methods of obtaining oxygen by low-temperature rectification. SUBSTANCE: industrial liquid oxygen containing high- and low-boiling admixtures is subjected to two-stage rectification cleaning in first column where it is cleaned from high boiling admixtures and part of low-boiling admixtures; in second column it is cleaned from remaining low-boiling admixtures. To obtain purification process, circulating gas flow is admitted to rectification unit; this gas is compressed in compressor, then it is cooled in recuperative heat exchanger and is additionally cooled in coil of column, after which it is throttled into inter-tube space of condenser-evaporator of second column wherefrom vapors are directed to recuperative heat exchanger for cooling the compressed circulating flow. Liquid ultra-clean oxygen is then discharge from column. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
