FIELD: device for treatment of water through oxidation of contaminants contained in it with ozone. SUBSTANCE: ozone-containing gas introduced into flow of water being treated is subjected to dispersion forming microheterogeneous two-phase disperse system - water - ozone-containing gas. Ozone is dissolved in water being treated at interface of phases formed by film water strips between bubbles. Oxidation of contaminants with ozone is effected both in water and at interface. Ratio of volume flow rates of gas and water may range from 0.2 to 1.0. Difference in hydrostatic pressures in water before mixing it with ozone-containing gas is no less than 1 kgf/sq.cm. Rate of flow of disperse system ranges from 1.5 to 4.0 m/s. Device for realization of this system includes injector with inlet confuser section and outlet diffuser taper section. Sections are interconnected by means of cylinder with slotted passage in its center portion.
