FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to creation of impermeable dam with filled space and reinforced concrete framework. Enclosed framework of dam is erected tier after tier with height of each not over 2 m. Poured inside lower tier is thixotropic suspension to height which is not over half of tier height. Then, poured into suspension is sand, gravel or clayey ground up to level of tier top with bringing minimal density of mixture to ρ = 2 g/cu.cm. Initial density of suspension in case of filling with sand or gravel must be not less than 1,2 g/cu.cm, and at filling with clayey ground density must not exceed 1,1 g/cu.cm. After that, reinforcement framework of next tier is erected and entire cycle of operations is repeated. Tier after tier erection of dam is continued up to reaching its very top. Walls of framework can be made sufficiently thin and designed only for initial thrust of mixture which after hardening transmits less thrust to walls and due to this fact permeability of dam is reduced together with amount of materials needed for construction of dam.
