FIELD: electrical and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has hermetically sealed housing in which deep vacuum is built and accommodating magnetic support which is made radially and axially self-aligning and provided with axial and radial displacement limiters. Magnetic support serves as hub rim superflywheel wound of high-strength threads. Salient pole armature of disk unipolar electromagnetic excitation machine is installed vertically on magnetic support. Machine has central and periphery thermoelectroemission controlled current collectors. Self-alignment of rotor is provided by cone-shaped magnetic support. Axial and radial displacement limiters are made in form of support-and-thrust bearings based on solid lubricating materials. Anode of central thermoemission current collector is cooled, and heat cathode with grid control of periphery current collectors and field coil are separated by cooled shield. Proposed design of device provides charging and discharging and required duration of energy storage at stand-by duty with maximum specific power intensity and economy characteristics.
