FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: calcium gluconate is synthesized by liquid-phase oxidation of glucose in the presence of heterogeneous catalyst based on transient metals on carrier at increased temperature in alkaline solution. "Sibunit" is used as a carrier for catalyst. Active phase is applied by complete absorption of an aqueous-spirituous solution of palladium chelate salt and bismuth salt. Sodium gluconate solution obtained after oxidation is subjected for processes of equivalent and homogeneous ion exchange and crystallization from solution. Method provides the increased yield of calcium gluconate due to the use of high-selective catalyst at the stage of glucose oxidation and calcium carbonate at the stage of ion exchange.
