DEVICE FOR UTILIZATION OF MASUT-FOULED SNOW MASS AND OIL SLIME Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: environment control technology. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for separating oil from masut-fouled snow mass or oil slime containing mechanical impurities. Utilization device has settler and receiving vessel which are provided with separating grates which connect settler and receiving vessel by service pipelines. Also provided are heat exchanger and heat-carrier delivery pipeline. Settler has slime collector. Separating grates of receiving vessel and slime collector are installed with possibility of their power-operated lifting for cleaning from slime. Heat-carrier delivery pipeline is made in the form of hot water supply line with swivelling units for creating shower in receiving vessel and settler. Swivelling units can be replaced with pressure-operated head-pieces for washing-out of caked slumps of ground or slime. Receiving vessel around its entire external surface and covers is provided with thermal insulation made of foampolyurethane. Settler has level control system and systems for separate collection of oil and water. Device ensures upgraded processing of fouled snow mass with inclusions of ground, oil or oil slime.
