FIELD: fast-neutron reactors. SUBSTANCE: control rod has set of control elements. Every control element has absorber granule chamber for filling with B4C granules and auxiliary plug located in tubular casing above absorber granule chamber. Upper chamber is located above auxiliary plug. Ventilation tube couples absorber granule chamber to upper chamber and passes through auxiliary plug. Upper and lower ventilation holes are positioned on upper and lower levels in tubular casing, in upper chamber. Sodium inlet hole is located on upper surface of auxiliary plug. Sodium delivery tube passes from sodium inlet hole to position below lower plane of auxiliary plug. EFFECT: prolonged service life and enhanced efficiency of control rod. 5 dwg
