FIELD: mechanical engineering; civil engineering; testing of slings used in erection and materials handling operations. SUBSTANCE: stand has spatial frame, power tensioning device in form of hydraulic cylinder mounted on one end of frame, hydraulic station installed inside frame, and sling fastening unit. Sling fastening unit is made fixed in form of two parallel plates rigidly secured on frame, and hollow cylinder placed between plates and rigidly connected with unit. Plates are provided with holes located over circumference with diameter larger than diameter of detachable king pin securing second end of sling. EFFECT: reduced metal usage owing to decrease of length and enhanced safety of operator in case of breakage of sling under load. 2 dwg
