FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: in a method of continuous gas-phase production of vinylacetate from ethylene, acetic acid, and oxygen on heterogeneous catalyst, content of oxygen at the inlet of reactor is increased with explosionproofness in all process line areas preserved. Ethylene supplied into the process is partly (from 5 to 30 vol %) replaced by saturated hydrocarbons, particularly ethane, propane, or their mixture.
