FIELD: transport engineering; maintenance and repair. SUBSTANCE: running- in of engine unit is carried out using as running-in parameter the operation of friction forces A providing required degree of running-in and the following parameters: T-engine unit temperature; Msh-torque on shaft; W-engine unit shaft speed; Po.m. pressure in oil main line till stabilization of parameters. EFFECT: enhanced quality of running-in of engine units, increased reliability and capacity and reduced time taken for running-in owing to introduction of adaptive control of running-in duties.
