FIELD: looms. SUBSTANCE: rapier clamping device for loom reliably holds weft in rapier and has hook on its body. Hook mouth accommodates wedge moving in axial direction and spring-loaded in direction of hook mouth. One side of wedge and hook side facing the wedge form V-shaped hollow for clamping and fixing of threaded end of weft yarn at least one flexible plate installed for engagement, with its side wall wit of hook side facing V-shaped hollow. Flexible plate is installed for contacting the hook side up to V-shaped hollow in direction of wedge movement to hook month. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 cl, 6 dwg
