FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engine. SUBSTANCE: engine has housing, and rotor with blades installed in housing. To increase efficiency, housing is provided with inner space being in section an ellipse curve in which rotor with blades rotate. Blades of rotor have self-sealing mechanisms, and their position in radial direction is controlled by follower to provide tightness of working chambers. Such design provides two additional timing phases dividing exhaust and intake phase. Scavenging phase provides complete cleaning of working space from combustion products. Transfer phase precludes leakage of part of fresh charge from intake zone to exhaust zone. EFFECT: increased weight of fresh charge, reduced consumption of fuel, increased efficiency, power output and economy. 5 dwg
