METHOD FOR AFFECTING HEREDITARY STRUCTURE OF ORGANISMS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2120474 C1

FIELD: biology, in particular, molecular genetics. SUBSTANCE: method involves running electric current through environment which is inhabited by organisms. Slope of leading edge of pulses is increased in range from 5×108 to 1×1015 V/s with pulse duration of 1×10-1-3×103 pulse per second under electric field strength in organisms in range from 2×103 to 2×106 V/m. Method involves preliminary conversion of electric current to magnetic field, which strength in organism in range of 2×105-8×107 A/m, or its conversion to electromagnetic field which strength in organism is in range of 2×103-2×106 V/m. EFFECT: simplified procedure for affecting organism in order to achieve mutation effect. 3 cl, 6 ex, 3 dwg
