FIELD: thermal working of metals, drying of woods and agricultural products. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has composite dismountable housing with joining units. One part of housing is mounted for movement. Upon connecting, heating members on two parts of housing define closed heating circuit. Apparatus is further provided with power unit connected with heating members and power consumption initiator positioned behind heating members on movable part of housing. Perforated walls positioned within housing on its movable part in equally spaced relation to housing generatrix are adapted to define, together with heating members, heating-circulating circuit. Heating members are formed as heat-exchangers connected to power unit defining diesel engine power plant. Electric and heat energy of conditioned exhaust gases and heated cooling liquid of diesel is used as energy carrier. Joining units are formed as flexible resilient shells made from thermally stable fabric. Power consumption initiator is connected to power unit. Housing immovable part and perforated walls are provided with lengthwise corrugated linear compensators for varying apparatus working volume. Housing made from thermally stable fabric is provided with carcass of variable geometry allowing shape of apparatus to be altered. Housing may be made in the from of binary enclosure which may be blown. Apparatus may be used for artificial ageing of semi-finished aluminum alloy products, drying of capillary-porous materials such as wood, as well as agricultural products.
