FIELD: railway transport; automatic couplers. SUBSTANCE: draft gear has movable thrust plate and movable stabilizing support, energy absorbing members assembled in self-contained system holder and made with initial preset camber with due account of geometric parameters of their cross-section and working length of span. One of two supports of energy absorbing members is made movable, and the other is stationary, and end faces of their heads and seats of resting are made in form of cylindrical joints and are provided with chamfers orientated in direction of initial camber of energy absorbing members. Moreover, movable stabilizing support of energy absorbing members is provided with side brackets arranged symmetrically, with reach at right angle relative to direction of initial camber of energy absorbing members, and is furnished with fixed guides along which side brackets slide. Self-contained systems of holder are single-tier and have opposite orientation of initial camber of energy absorbing members. Orientation of initial camber coincides with orientation of one of halves of equally orientated energy absorbing members.
