FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: device (circuits 1-240) has multiple circuits of line selecting driver according to number of image lines for electric driving of image lines. Circuit of line selecting driver is located on substrate of liquid-crystal display. Output of each circuit of line selecting driver is connected to corresponding line of image pixels and next circuit of line selecting driver as driving input. Switching unit 8 which is external with respect to liquid- crystal display, has conductors 9 and is connected to circuits of line selecting drivers (circuits 1-240), so that each line of image pixels is driven sequentially. Corresponding method for selection of pixel lines is given in invention specification. EFFECT: sequential driving of pixel lines. 7 cl, 5 dwg
