FIELD: display devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display devices. The display panel includes many display areas, among those the first and second display areas, located side by side, but not overlapping with each other. The first area includes rows of the first blocks of pixels arranged as an array, the second area includes rows of the second blocks of pixels arranged as an array. The display panel also includes a first scan control circuit for controlling light emission by rows of the first pixel blocks, and a second scan control circuit for controlling light emission by rows of the second pixel blocks. Each image frame of the first display area includes the first and second subframes that do not overlap with each other, in the first subframe, the first start signal is fed to the first scan control circuit and the second start signal to the second scan control circuit, to ensure that the second display area is controlled so that it does not emit light, the second scan control circuit. In the second subframe, the first start signal is again applied to the first scan control circuit to ensure that the display operation is performed by rows of the first pixel blocks in the first display area, and in the second subframe, the second start signal is applied to the second scan control circuit to ensure that the second display area is controlled so that it does not emit light, by the second scan control circuit. The second and first start signals are provided independently, and the display panel can perform a single scan of the display within the time interval of each image frame.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency of screen control.
