FIELD: production of light finely dispersed copper powders. SUBSTANCE: process includes breakdown of sinters of starting material in atmosphere of gaseous heat transfer agent with temperature of 80-100 C and screening of broken sinters. After this particles of copper of dendrite structure are dried by passing through high-temperature zone bringing them to suspended state by jet of gas heated to temperature below melting temperature of copper. Modifier to form monomolecular protective layer on boundaries of particles is injected at stages of breakdown of sinters of starting material and drying of particles of copper of dendrite structure in high-temperature zone. Then gas and powder mixture is separated, dried particles of copper of dendrite structure are directed to grinding to finely dispersed powder by impact effect in centrifugal field. Plant for implementation of process is equipped with communicating separator and impact-centrifugal mill, with gear for thermal working manufactured in the form of rotary tube drier with branch pipe to feed modifier. Drier and enclosure of ball mill are fitted with branch pipes to inject gaseous heat transfer agent and branch pipe to discharge worked material from rotary tube drier communicates with branch pipe for its feed to separator. Side surface of container of ball mill placed on horizontal rotation shaft is made in the form of rods fastened together over perimeter of circumference with clearance. Screen of mill is installed concentrically outside container. Size of clearances between rods and size of mesh of screen do not exceed maximum size of particles of dendrite structure and spherical milling members are made from high-temperature acid-proof rubber.
