FIELD: metallurgy, treatment of metal with gas. SUBSTANCE: process provides for injection of aluminum into molten metal, agitation of steel and its heating with oxygen injected through lined tuyere with ceramic nozzle dipped into metal. Consumption of oxygen is kept within limits from 0.01-0.05 nm3/t.min and 0.10-0.30 nm3/t.min correspondingly during agitation and heating of metal. Tuyere is dipped into metal to 80-95% of height of ladle. Oxygen is fed with outflow velocity 200-1200 nm/s. EFFECT: decreased consumption of pig iron, prevention of formation of buildup, decreased mean temperature of metal in melting aggregates by 30-40 C, increased efficiency of process of steel treatment in ladle. 1 tbl
