FIELD: vertical cookers for continuous cooking of fibrous materials at high pressures and temperatures. SUBSTANCE: fibrous material and cooking liquor are fed to upper part of cooker. Discharge of spent cooking liquor is effected from at least cooker one filtering device 1D located between top and bottom of cooker. Fibrous material is discharged from lower part 1 of cooker. At least one filtering device 1, 2 has at least one filter element 2A of circular configuration including parts forming its face side. Filter element is supported by edges of hollow member of circular configuration. This member is mounted preferably by welding and installed in cooker case by welding too.
