FIELD: hydraulic engineering; protection of water reservoir coasts from wave effect; may be used on curved sections of coast. SUBSTANCE: coast-protecting structure consists of main and end blocks with slotted holes and vertical parallel slots on block end faces. Slots are made at an angle to frontal and rear faces of block with depth equalling at least one half of block height, and width equalling at least its thickness. Main blocks are made with three slots. Two of them are located on diagonally opposite end faces of block at the same distances from its edges and the third slot is displaced with respect to block end face center. End blocks have two slots each. Slots are located on one end face of block. EFFECT: reduced velocity and transporting ability of run-off streams and extending along coast streams entrapping hard sediments. 9 cl
