FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly shore-protective structures.
SUBSTANCE: breakwater block comprises horizontal upper and lower faces, inclined front face, side faces and vertical rear face. The blocks are grouped in row installed on underwater shore slope so that gaps are defined between the blocks in the row. Lower and front faces are trapezoid. Side faces are inclined and tapering channel is defined by the gaps. The channel tapers towards direction of turbulent water streams surging towards shore.
EFFECT: increased water-breaking capacity and operational reliability.
