PROTECTIVE-DECORATIVE FACING OF WALLS AND CEILINGS AND METHOD OF ITS FASTENING Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: building structures. SUBSTANCE: protective-decorative facing of walls and ceilings has a set of facing tiles secured to faced surface with the help of fastening racks having base and side walls with bearing hooks and catches uniformly spaced over rack length and directed to the same side with respect to faced surface. Each facing tile of the set is made with two recesses and on two joining surfaces. The first recess is located from tile rear side on one joining surface and has shape of cross-section of bearing hook, and the second longitudinal recess is located from face side on opposite joining surface. The sum of depths of the first and second recesses equals the thickness of tile. Each fastening rack has flat supporting areas on side walls between hooks and fixing hooks made with catches directed to opposite side from direction of catches of bearing hooks and arranged between hooks and supporting areas, and joining surface from face side of each tile has longitudinal recess in the form of truncated wedge. Shape of cross-section of additional longitudinal recess is similar to shape of catches of fixing hooks. Method of attachment of protective-decorative facing of walls and ceilings consists in joining of fastening racks with faced surface, successive hanging of facing tiles on rows of adjacent bearing hooks of two neighboring racks. All bearing hooks are bent in plane at an angle of 45, 75 deg to rich base. Facing tile is hung on two bent adjacent bearing hooks. Catches on two fixing hooks with hung tile, with supporting areas are bent through an angle of 90 deg towards faced surface, then fixing hooks are bent to align their planes with planes of bearing hooks and tiles hung on racks are secured by bending of catches of fixing hooks to align with planes of fixing hooks.
