FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps, engines and compressors. SUBSTANCE: rotary-swirl machine has stator and rotor forming torus-shaped working chamber in between communicating with working medium inlet and outlet channels. Working chamber accommodates blades and divider coupled, respectively, with stator and rotor. Front edge of each blade is pointed to rotor. Divider is provided with cutoff edges limiting section of divider surface pointed to front edges of blades. Blade front edge direction angle lies within α = 20-70°, and blade setting angle is equal to β = 0-26°. EFFECT: increased efficiency of machine owing to reduction of hydraulic losses of swirl flow of medium in working chamber and reduction of overflows of front medium from high pressure section in working chamber into low pressure section along clearance between blades and divider and along working chamber. 5 cl, 9 dwg
