FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: substation has one or two poles mounting on cross-arms 2, lead- in insulators 3, disconnecting cutouts 5, power transformer, surge voltage limiters, and low- voltage device 7 interconnected through conductors 8, as well as ground circuit. In addition, substation is provided with safety conducting screen 12, for example, metal screen with stiffness band over perimeter. Screen 12 is placed between power transformer 6 and disconnecting cutouts 5; they are electrically connected with ground circuit 11 of substation. Conductors interconnecting disconnecting cutouts 3 and power transformer 6 are spaced through adequate distance from screen 12 and pole 1. As an alternative, safety screen 12 may be mounted on cross-arm carrying disconnecting cutouts 5 or the latter may be installed on lower stiffness band of safety screen 12.
