FIELD: signal switching devices for enhancing attenuation in turning off high-frequency signal components to be changed over. SUBSTANCE: switching device has diode 14 whose first electrode 16 is connected through capacitor 20 to input signal source. Second electrode 18 of diode 14 is connected through amplifier 30, and in modified version through non-additive mixer 40 connected in parallel with amplifier 30, to output terminal. Bias-control circuit connected to diode 14 is built around series-connected switch 60, first resistor 64, diode 14, and second resistor 62. This control circuit affords first mode of operation in which direct bias takes place across diode 14 to apply input signal to output terminal through amplifier 30 and mixer 40. In second mode of operation, first electrode 16 of diode 14 is isolated by DC current so that diode 14 rectifies ac component of input signal. EFFECT: provision for dispensing with additional reverse bias source for diode to maintain switch in open position. 3 cl, 2 dwg
