FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: video signal reproducer has output DC video amplifier of picture tube that reproduces image and automatic bias control system of picture tube for maintaining desired level of black-image cathode current. Video processor supplies video signals to output amplifier through input circuit incorporating manually adjusted resistor used for pre-setting amplifier gain. During working periods, automatic bias control system maintains actually zero voltage drop across manually adjusted gain control resistor and adjustment of this resistor does not produce unwanted effect on cathode bias voltage of picture tube controlled by automatic bias control system. EFFECT: provision for adjusting picture-tube exciting amplifier gain to desired state without inducing response signal from automatic bias control system. 2 cl, 1 dwg
