SUBSTANCE: method involves determining actual grain moisture content and relative humidity of air used for ventilation on the basis of psychrometer indications by means of psychrometric table; determining grain equilibrium humidity by formula W(p) = , where W(p) is grain equilibrium humidity, %; t is grain temperature, C; ϕ is air relative humidity, %; a,b1,b2,b3,c1,c2,c3 are experimental coefficients depending on kind of grain crop; comparing actual grain moisture content with its equilibrium humidity; considering possibilities of active grain ventilation by comparison value. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced grain loss by accelerated and increased precision of determining possibilities for active grain ventilation.
