FIELD: manufacture of aluminium oxychloride. SUBSTANCE: aluminium chloride solution is passed through stationary layers of aluminium-containing stock. Process is carried out at temperatures from 70 to 95-98 C for 6 to 10 hours. The resulting aluminium oxychloride solution is cooled to room temperature, pH of solution is increased to 3.9-4.5 in the presence of oxidizing agent, and is then filtered.
