FIELD: formation of glass sheets. SUBSTANCE: flat conveyer 1 moves glass plate through furnace to bending section provided with glass supporting member at temperature primarily equal to bending temperature. Concave circular matrix 4 having facility for control of vertical shift speed moves glass plate vertically in direction of convex solid punch 3 so as to compress plate between punch and matrix. Step of preliminary treatment is provided to ensure formation by gravity on circular matrix prior to throwing of glass into contact with convex punch.
