FIELD: cooling towers of circulating water supply systems and purification works. SUBSTANCE: checker includes bulky members 1 made from parallel mutually intersecting nonmetallic threads at angle of 45-55 deg by extrusion. Angles of intersection of threads are oriented along members; distance between parallel threads ranges from 15 to 20 mm. In cross section, members have profile of equilateral triangle having height of 40 to 60 mm or circle at a diameter of 40 to 60 mm. Thickness of threads ranges from 3.5 to 5.0 mm. Construction provides for required rigidity of components excluding their deformation in use. EFFECT: improved aerodynamic characteristics and facilitated heat- and mass-transfer process. 4 cl, 4 dwg
