METHOD FOR DESIGN OF DICTIONARY FOR TRANSLATION FROM FOREIGN LANGUAGE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: foreign language education, in particular, oral training of articulation, spelling and translation of words of learned language. SUBSTANCE: method involves selection of words from lexicon of foreign language, their location on information medium in series starting from beginning of word, storing words in their phonetic transcription and arranging according to transcription sequence, positioning of spelling and translation of word by each phonetic transcription. Transcription sequence is represented as sequence of transcriptions of phonemes which are joined in groups of similar sounds. Index is assigned to each phonetic transcription of words of foreign language and phonetic transcriptions which are similar in sound are arranged after it.
