FIELD: facing anechoic chambers; broad-band radio-absorbing structures. SUBSTANCE: structure is built up of similar tubular members with low volume content of absorbing material per volume unit of frontal surface and heterogeneous rear part (surface). Tubular members have same and/or different length and are made of thin-layer resistive material; they are randomly assembled in parallel to their axes; frontal parts of tubular-member walls facing incident wave are beveled through 10-30 deg. to member axis and opposite parts of walls are joined together; members are tightly arranged in structure without clearances between them so that tops of bevels of frontal parts and joined rear parts of members do not form regular structure. Low reflectivity of structure (-60 dB and lower) is obtained due to same type of tubular members forming it. EFFECT: enlarged operating wavelength range at reduced reflectivity. 6 cl, 4 dwg
