FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic wave absorber for acoustic chambers and screened rooms includes hollow housing inside which radar absorbing filler is located. Hollow housing is metal and has the shape of rectangular waveguide with short-circuitor on one of its ends and with stepped megaphone on the other with radar absorbing filler installed in it. Radar absorbing filler is made in the form of one or several plates from ceramics with resistive layer applied to it. Plates have stepped shape and are installed into slots in wide walls of waveguide, oriented parallel its longitudinal axis and adjacent with one of its ends to short-circuitor; at that, sizes of steps, surface resistance of resistive layer and location of short-circuitor relative to steps have been chosen from condition of broad-band matching.
EFFECT: increasing specific allowable scattered power of electromagnetic waves and reducing its longitudinal size at providing broad-band matching.
