FIELD: microcapsulation of materials. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, concerns microcapsulation of liquid- phase materials with restricted solubility in water. Gelatin is modified by adding 1 to 50 mcmol/g of C12-C18-n-alkanoic acid at pH at least 8.0. Nucleus material is emulsified in resulting solution and to emulsion, agents reducing solubility within the pH range 2.5-3.5 are added. Gelatin is then precipitated onto surface of emulsion drops to form shells. Method is fit for use in chemical industry, medicine, mechanical engineering, and in consumer services sector. EFFECT: increased yield of desired product with specified properties of shells. 1 tbl, 15 ex
