FIELD: biotechnology; veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing microencapsulated bovine sex pheromones with a sodium alginate shell. A method of producing microencapsulated bovine sex pheromones with a sodium alginate shell, according to which 100 g of sex pheromones are mixed with an equal amount of 5% sodium alginate in a magnetic stirrer, then the resulting mixture is dispersed dropwise from a height of 20–25 cm in 100–150 ml of 0.2 M calcium chloride solution, the dispersion process is carried out with constant stirring at a stirrer speed of 100–120 rpm for 20–35 minutes, the formed microcapsules are separated on a Schott filter under vacuum and placed in 0.5% solution of chitosan for 50–60 minutes, after exposure to chitosan, the microcapsules are removed and dried at 30–35°C.
EFFECT: possibility to obtain microencapsulated bovine sex pheromones with a sodium alginate shell; the microcapsules have stable dimensions, improved biologically active properties, are not subject to the “caking” effect and have a long shelf life.
