FIELD: fan manufacture. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal fan has guide vanes in the form of curved plates mounted on external wall of intake pipe. Toroidal vortex air flow swirling unidirectionally with sense of rotation is built up in delivery plane of shroud when impeller is running. Air passes through plate clearance, turns, and enters cover disk region without impact. In the process, turns of air stream are ordered and vortex loss is reduced due to matching entrance and exit of blades with direction of flow. EFFECT: improved efficiency of fan. 3 dwg
