FIELD: construction of general-purpose and special-purpose fans. SUBSTANCE: flow of air flows through inlet branch pipe to inter-blade space where additional kinetic energy is imparted to it at mass transfer; then it is delivered to consumer at increased pressure. Ratio of area of inlet of inter-blade space to fan inlet area is optimized. Availability of confuser clearance between end section of inlet branch pipe and cover disk provides for continuous flow, increased width of impeller and enhanced efficiency.
