FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of dicyanodiamide and hexamethyleneguanidine at heating. Reaction is carried out by heating a mixture consisting of hexamethylenediamine, HCl and dicyanodiamide at 150 C for 5 h; then temperature is raised to 170 C and mixture is heated at 170 C. Then obtained product is purified by reprecipitation with sodium or potassium salt an aqueous solution. Method provides improvement of disinfecting property due to enhancement of bactericidal activity of the end product by 3-fold at simultaneous toxicity decrease by 2-5-fold depending on specific product obtained. Invention can be used for disinfecting treatment and prevention of mold fungi formation and other unwanted microorganisms in food industry, veterinary and medicine, for protection of foodstuffs, as additions to dyes, varnishes, aqueous-emulsion compositions.
