FIELD: means of control of petroleum and petroleum products contamination of soil and other environment objects having a capillary - porous structure. SUBSTANCE: method provides for introduction of solution of petroleum-oxidizing microorganisms in the zone of cleaning. Electrodes (anode and cathode) and then water are introduced in the zone of cleaning. Direct current is passed between electrodes for creation of electroosmotic motion of liquid in the zone of cleaning. Liquid with contaminants accumulated near the cathode is removed. Concentration of substances oppressing the vital activity of petroleum-oxidizing microorganisms is monitored. At reduction of their concentration to values that are safe for vital activity of petroleum-oxidizing microorganisms their solution is introduced in the zone of cleaning. The method provides for microbiological cleaning of capillary-porous medium contaminated by petroleum and petroleum products, if substances oppressing the vital activity of microorganisms are present in it. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 1 ex
