FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, cold upsetting of hollow parts with outer ring member. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting off round cross section blank, levelling its end surfaces, outlining them, transferring blank at rotating it by 180 degrees, upsetting flange and chamfering large-diameter cavity, forming ring member and punching hole. Ring member is shaped on end surface of blank by local deformation at shearing metal volume along perimeter of flange after pressing out large- and small-diameter cavities. In levelling position one end of blank is rounded by radius R determined according to relation: R = 0.65-1.0(D-d), where D - outer diameter of blank in position of levelling its ends; d - diameter of outlining for subsequently pressing out large-diameter cavity; d d1 0.95 d1 d1, where d1 - diameter of large-diameter cavity. EFFECT: enhanced quality of outer ring member, increased strength of shaping tool due to lowered loads at forming process. 1 dwg
