FIELD: gas chromatographs; quantitative analysis of trace contaminant concentration in gas mixtures. SUBSTANCE: detector is essentially enclosed chamber with gas-chromatic mixture and blow-out gas admission channels and outlet channel; blow- out gas admission channel incorporates discharge electrodes coated with insulating sheath and connected to high-frequency oscillator; gas- chromatic mixture admission channel has anode separated from recording electrode by insulating barrier; discharge electrodes are connected either to high-frequency pulse oscillator or to that running continuously. EFFECT: reduced noise level, improved sensitivity, reduced smearing of detector. 2 dwg
