FIELD: education. SUBSTANCE: method involves reading characters on standard table, forcing the student to staged processing of information which is spaced by 30-33 cm from student's eyes, without articulation. At first stage method involves perceiving central character of subsequent standard table for 5-15 minutes simultaneously taking into account corresponding upper left and right and lower left and right characters. At second stage method involves serial search of contour of next character for 20-35 seconds by means of vertical scanning using peripheral vision with respect to corresponding column of character matrix. EFFECT: increased speed of reading due to decreased horizontal movements of eyes using peripheral vision. 4 dwg
