DEVICE FOR BRINGING OF WOUND EDGES TOGETHER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: surgery. SUBSTANCE: device blades are of arc shape. With one end they have movable connection with mechanism which brings wound edges together. They are provided with detachable movable assemblies which allow their interaction with two needles. Mechanism bringing the wound edges together is made of immovable support represented by plate to which two auxiliary plates with slots at ends are secured at angle from both sides for fastening of blades and tie-rod ends. Tie-rod is coupled to screw, passing through plate hole, perpendicularly in middle of support. Longitudinal recesses with secured moving assemblies-heads provided with seats are positioned on other ends of blades. Two pushers are used to facilitate interaction of blades and needles. Pushers are made in form of turned over letter "T". One end of pusher is secured in head seat and second, in threaded hole of needle by means of thread. Third end is made as pin for fastening it in one of holes of fixing plate. Both needles are made hollow with open blunt end, threaded hole with plug and relief grooves on outer side for their entire length. EFFECT: reduced traumaticity of device use. 4 dwg
